How to plan a kids holiday party dessert table

It’s almost that time!!  It’s almost Christmas!  I am so excited this year for Christmas and as always, the best part of the holidays is getting to spend quality time with my family.  This year, we will have a nice small holiday dinner with my husband, 2 daughters, mom and my brother.  I hosted Thanksgiving over my house this year so my mom wanted to host Christmas at her home.  I am so looking forward to putting together a nice dessert table and if you are looking for some last minute ideas, take a look at our latest photo shoot shot by Kourtney Marie Photography for North Valley Magazine.

For our plaid holiday table, we chose a red table cloth as our base, a plaid runner and added gold cupcake stands and one red stand for the center.  I also added wooden platters to the table to add in a little bit of a rustic touch.  For treats, I added macarons by Le Macaron French Pastries, vanilla and chocolate cupcakes and a vanilla cake with butter cream frosting from Albertson’s and sugared and glazed donuts from Target.  One of my favorite parts of the dessert table happens to be the red and black plaid sugar cookies from The Baked Equation.  Last but not least, our Elf on the Shelf decided to join in the fun, so we let him take part in our photo shoot. 🙂
