Before starting Parties On Purpose, Jamila worked in management for varies cosmetic companies while volunteering at her church as a small group leader and children's worship director. Through these experiences, Jamila planned several events and realized that she had a true passion for events.

Today, Jamila and her team have grown Parties On Purpose to be a highly trusted and sought after event planning company.

Jamila is also the co-founder of Parties For Purpose which is a 501c3 non profit established to help celebrate children and families that are less fortunate.

Hi, my name is Julie. I’m a Phoenix native with deep roots here in the valley and am a graduate of Grand Canyon University (Lopes up 🤘). My husband and I have been married for 21 years and together have 4 kids.

I have a background in Eduction, Marketing & Community Advocacy and owned a business in the wedding and event industry for 10 years. Jamila and I are also the co-founders of Parties For Purpose, a non-profit established to throw parties for kids in need in the valley.

For me, there’s no greater feeling than when we bring to life our client’s vision for their celebrations. Watching sketches and plans come to life and seeing the excitement on their faces during the big reveal, never gets old!

Hey there! My name is Katherine and I am a California native, wife, and mommy to my mini goldendoodle.

As a lover of all things creative, I have years of experience in event planning from corporate events to weddings and other life celebrations. I am also a lifestyle photographer here in Arizona, capturing important milestones and memories for others.

I believe life is worth celebrating and I value helping others savor in special moments, whether that is through the lens or through creating unforgettable event experiences.

Hey y’all, I’m Amanda! I was born and raised in sunny Phoenix, Arizona, and graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Math and Secondary Education. After five wonderful years teaching middle and high school math, I decided to follow my longtime passion — event planning.

I married my amazing husband in 2021 (after rescheduling our wedding because of COVID — so I know all about flexibility!). In 2023, we welcomed our sweet baby girl, and these days, our favorite outings include Target runs and Chick-fil-A dates.

I’ve always loved the mix of creativity and organization that goes into planning an unforgettable event. From big-picture visions to the smallest details, I believe every celebration should be meaningful, joyful, and stress-free — and I’m so excited to help make that happen!
