Hi there! Welcome to the Parties On Purpose blog where we will share some "behind the scenes" details about our events as well as new trends and what we are into. We're thrilled that you are here!
We did it and boy was it fun! This segment was extra special because I was able to bring my daughter, niece and nephew. They really enjoyed themselves!
I wanted to share the items that were featured today. Two of them I found on Pinterest so I will share the links to the original posts. I found the Luminary idea here. The post called for a LED tea light but if you’d like more light or more of a fire fly effect you can purchase LED string lights here. The tea light will give you beautiful soft light and the string light will give more of a brighter light.
I loved the July 4th soda bar! I used blue and red soda by Jones which I purchased at Bev Mo. I also went with vanilla ice cream so that it create more of a red, white and blue effect. I put the vanilla ice cream in mason jars and put them on ice to keep them from melting. Once you add in your soda, you can top it with sprinkles, whipped cream and top with a cherry. I had strays in each of my mason jars but using a spoon will be the easiest way to eat your yummy treat!
July 4th hot dogs! Yummy! I made these last night for the segment and couldn’t help but eat one. I also found this idea on Pinterest. Please click here for the post.
I purchased the cupcakes from Alberston’s in vanilla and chocolate and topped them with cupcake toppers from Paiges of Style. I also purchased the cupcake wrapper here.
All of the items in the kids party bucket was purchased at the dollar store and the LED sunglasses are from Target.
I hope you enjoyed the segment! If you have any questions, please feel free to comment below or email me at jwatson@partiesonpurpose.com
