Today we are sharing this 90’s themed party that was totally off the hook! When our client requested a “Throwback to the 90s” theme for his wife’s 40th birthday, we were full of ideas!

The 360 photo backdrop was definitely the hit of the night! It was the perfect way for guests to show off their 90’s outfits. We had the design for the backdrop created and printed by the very talented Kasey Jones Inc. Before the party started, Pixster Photo Booth arrived to set up their camera equipment and an arrangement of fun props. Check out some of the guests’ dope poses!

The 90s collage backdrop was another fun photo op area. We printed out all things 90s and attached them to our wooden backdrop. It is totally giving us 90’s bedroom wall vibes!

No Parties on Purpose event is complete without a cake backdrop! We brought in our Victorian arch backdrop to create a beautiful cake display. We added gold chain balloons, custom signage and uplighting to complete the look.

As planners, we know all the little details make a big difference! For the treat display, we created these custom chip bags. Of course we had to add a classic 90s quote on them! We also added these detailed sugar cookies onto colorful cake stands. Seeing Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube on sugar cookies was a first for us! Guests also enjoyed delicious cake shots – we love the custom 90s themed picks. It was a great way to add a personalized touch to the desserts.

Guests did not go hungry at this epic party! They enjoyed a huge buffet with soul food prepared by a team of private chefs. Just looking back at the photos is making us hungry!

This epic marquee letter and balloon display added another pop of color and lit up the backyard. We just love the look of the balloons spilling into the pool. Marquee lights are super trendy right now and are a great way to elevate your event!

Branding, branding, branding! For a cohesive look, we worked with one graphic designer to create all the graphics for the party. From the bars and the dance floor to the backdrops and the DJ booth, we had everything branded and customized to fit the theme. We love how it all came together!

For the table centerpieces, we spray painted boom boxes and added in some fresh florals for a pop of color.

It’s not a 90’s party without some classic 90s games! Guests enjoyed Pacman, ping-pong, basketball and more.
