It’s Back To School time!  I am always excited for this time of year and even though my girls are always a little nervous, they are also excited for new beginnings and a fresh new year.

If you want to celebrate the new school year, why not plan a fun get together with your child and his or her friends.  We chose an art theme but your child’s back to school party theme can be based off of what he likes best (pool party, sports party etc.).

The kids were all given an art canvas and paint and were told to paint whatever they’d like.  They also had a “decorate your own cupcake” station so they can show their artistry and have fun eating their creation.  The Back to School dessert buffet was so much fun to put together.  I used a banner, surrounded by paper fans and paint and paint brush cut outs.  For the treats, I wanted lots of different colors, so I used chocolate dipped krispy treats and marshmallows in multiple colors, gummy worms, cupcakes with multicolor paint brush toppers and popcorn.  Here are a few pictures from our Back to School party!
