How to make flowered letters for your next party!

IMG_0641

This past weekend we had a blast putting together a Unicorn Candy Buffet for a birthday party for a sweet little girl Scottsdale, AZ.  For this unicorn candy buffet, I wanted to go with an enchanted flower garden feel, so I added her name to the display and added beautiful flowers for a nice pop of color.  Here’s the step by step process that I used to make the letters.  I decided to craft the letters slightly different from the tutorials I’ve seen on the internet.  Instead of cutting out the front part of my letters, I put small holes in the letters so I could hot glue the flowers into the letters.

What you will need…

Paper mach letters

Bunches of fake flowers

hot glue

scissors

Pre-cut all of your fake flowers so that they are ready to glue onto your letters.  I placed my pre-cut flowers on my letters first to see how I wanted it to look.  Play around with a few different looks before hot glueing.

Before glueing my first flower on, I made a small hole in the letter with scissors so that part of the bottom of the flower can fit in.  I added hot glue to the bottom of the flower and then pushed the flower into the hole.

The picture above shows the placement of the flowers.  The smaller flowers and leaves were hot glued onto the letters without having to make holes.

Here’s one of the finished letters.  It was super easy to make and took about 5-7  minutes to make each letter and honestly, I am not the fastest crafter around! 🙂
