Pretty Valentines DIY Table Decor!

Pretty Valentines DIY Table Decor!

I’m excited to share with you our Valentine’s photo shoot I put together for the February issue of North Valley Magazine. With February being upon us, I think of beautiful flowers which are perfect for Valentine’s day. Here are quick and easy DIY tips to putting together a beautiful valentines table.

Here’s what you need…

cropped Canvas-Checklist

I created this romantic Valentine’s table by purchasing a few items from Hobby Lobby and Cost Plus World Market and using a few items I used from past parties. Black and white patterns are still popular so I used fabric that I purchased from Hobby Lobby (one of my favorite stores). I asked my attendant to cut my fabric for a 6 inch table to use as an overlay (I have a white 6 foot table linen underneath). The candles were also purchased at Hobby Lobby a while back but will probably still be carried there.  No Hobby Lobby coupon cutting for me, I have the Hobby Lobby app on my phone. It gets used quite often.

The white china, wine glasses and pink napkins were purchase from Cost Plus World Market (also one of my favorite stores). You can also find great coupons for them. I am a frequent shopper, so I used my 10% discount for signing up for their newsletter.

The beautiful flowers were purchased from Trader Joes. Not only are they absolutely breathtaking, but they are always reasonably priced. I love getting my flowers to coordinate with the theme I am going for and arranging them in a simple vase.  Speaking of vases, I already had the vase, ribbon (for tying the napkin), pink table runner, gold charger and gold glitter scrap paper.  I love using scrap book paper on my table setting as place mats. It’s a great way to add contrast or color to your table.
