Welcome to the Parties On Purpose blog where we will share some "behind the scenes" details about our events as well as new trends and what we are into.
We're thrilled that you are here!

Our spring season each year is filled with lots of graduation celebrations – and we love it! Madden’s grad party this year was SO much fun, as we went with a TCU theme (his future college he will be attending) and added fun hints of Texas and cowboy vibes in the most tasteful way.

The party was hosted at one of the Toy Barn locations in Scottsdale in their shared event space. The venue is super modern with tons of natural light, making for a wonderful and private place to gather! When guests drove up, they knew they were in the right place as we decorated the venue sign with two eight foot balloon columns in the classic TCU colors. To greet them outside was also a gorgeous “2025” marquee display with a matching organic balloon garland – the perfect photo op!

Also on the patio in the gorgeous Arizona spring weather was a custom soda bar where guests could make their own dirty soda concoctions; there were 6 different sodas & 13 different syrup options plus more fun toppings to pick from! Madden loves Swig, so this was a must to celebrate! We also lined the patio with corn hole for people to play and enjoy – the TCU bean bags were the cutest touch!

Walking into the main space, we brought in enhanced black wood cocktail tables to compliment the existing venue interior as well as the party color scheme. All tables were lined with the most stunning floral arrangements with pampas accents. We used rope, mini cowboy boots, horseshoes, and tiny haybales and wagon wheels to add adorable and festive nods to the Texas culture!

The showstopping decor piece of the evening was the custom backdrop we designed. With double layered 3D lettering, we incorporated TCU’s classic tagline “Riff Ram Bah Zoo” and also had a custom-made cowboy boots prop to add the cutest detailing! Madden’s friends and family were taking photos with the backdrop all night which always makes us so happy to see. This is one of our favorite graduation backdrops we have done thus far! We love all of the school spirit.

Classic barbeque was on the dinner menu and delicious desserts included custom TCU themed sugar cookies, cowboy cookies, and mini butter cakes that fit into the Texas theme with their flavors – like s’mores, banana, etc! Yum.

Last, but not least, we had an area to honor Madden and his journey through the years that led him to this amazing achievement of graduating high school! We were truly so happy to be able to plan this incredible celebration for Madden and his sweet family. Congrats, Madden and wishing you all the best in Texas!
