How to plan a Galentine’s Day party

We had the pleasure of being a guest on the hit TV show The List TV!  We were asked to share a few tips on how to create a Galentine’s Day celebration for your besties so we came up with a some fun ideas that you can use for your next party.  What is Galentine’s Day you might ask?  Galentine’s Day is celebrated on February 13th which is the day before Valentines day and it’s a day to get together with your girlfriends and celebrate life, love and friendship!  You can celebrate this day if you are single or married.  From what I have researched on the internet, Galentine’s Day was created by the character, Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation!  So fun!

We used our candy cart to display our Galentine’s Day treats.  Our candy cart is perfect for almost any type of event so we couldn’t wait to use it for our girlfriend get-together.  Select your treats based on your color scheme and the treats that you and your guests love.  For this displayed, we styled the candy cart with treats from a bakery and treats from Aj’s Fine Foods.  We also added flowers, honeycombs and a large balloon with tassels.

These cookies from Aj’s Fine Foods was the perfect addition to our display and they tasted so yummy!

For our Galentine’s Day drink display, we styled them on a bar cart.  We love details, so we added paper straws to the drinks, and pink and red honeycombs to the bottom half of our cart.

We made an easy signature drink for our bestie get-together.  It was called the BFF Bubbly!  Using champagne glasses, we mixed 1/2 cherry 7UP and 1/2 champagne with a splash of grenadine for color.  Then we topped it off with a few diced strawberries, a cherry and a cute paper straw and voila!

For our Galentine’s Day gifts, we created cute take home gifts that our BFF’s could use all the time.  We purchased red “Galentine’s day” mugs from Hobby Lobby and added candy and a gift card from one of our favorite places on earth…The Dry Bar.

For our Galentine’s Day backdrop, we added a banner and a few balloons.  Use an instant camera to capture all of the fun and add in a few photo props for even more fun!

Kristina Guerrero from The List TV was the sweetest!  She is a true talent and made me feel super comfortable in front of the camera.  Make sure to watch the full segment on Monday February 10th.  Please check here for your local TV station.

What are your favorite Galentine’s Day ideas?  We would love to know what you have planned with your BFF’s.

Wishing you all a Happy Galentine’s Day!
