A Beautiful 1st Birthday!

I absolutely love first birthdays!  I love seeing families and friends gathering together to celebrate such a milestone as a first birthday.  I love seeing the proud parents and grandparents and friends coming out to see the guest of honor.  I had the pleasure of planning a fun birthday party for my amazing repeat clients.  I helped to plan their son’s birthday party last year with a Good Night Good Night Construction Site birthday party.

This year the party was for their beautiful little girl that was turning 1 and the party was held at Chaparral park in Scottsdale.  What a beautiful place for a birthday party and the weather was absolutely perfect!  All of the photos were taken by Ushna Khan Photography.  You can tell Ushna is passionate about her craft because her photos are absolutely beautiful!  For our set up, we went with white linens to cover the park tables and added pretty sequin table runners to each of them.  The sequin runners gave a nice “dressed up” look to the tables.  For each of the tables, we made princess centerpieces. For the centerpieces we purchased princess and letter wooden pieces and sticks from Hobby Lobby and spray painted them pink.  I wanted to add a pretty “tutu” element to each centerpiece so I had Juju’s Tutu’s make some beautiful pom pom wands.  These were the perfect addition to the centerpieces.  We couldn’t forget about the candy!  We had pink gum balls added to all of the tables and placed them inside cute candy boxes.

The dessert buffet was so fun.  We kept the color scheme consistent with the pinks and golds.  We used a backdrop, added pretty paper fans, a glittery happy birthday banner and a few 36 inch balloons from The Balloon People.  Since it was Valentines day and the party started around around brunch time, we decided to add Valentines donuts to the table.  So yummy!  Last but certainly not least, my favorite baker Angel Cakes Bakery made the most beautiful cake ever.  The cake was actually an eggless cake and tasted so good!

For the activities, we had a fun petting zoo, a craft station and a princess castle bounce house.  The kids had so much fun with the animals and I could of sworn I saw a few adults in the bounce house too!  Lol!!

The food from Macayo’s was absolutely amazing and the set up was great.  There was something for everyone.

Last but not least, we put together a favor table for the child guests.  All of the kids got to take home a few fun gifts and we arranged them all on a table with a giant flowered number one in the center.  We had favors bags made especially for girls and for boys.

Tak a look at the birthday girls special day…
